Embryo Courier Direct from Serbia to Iran
Hand-carry transport for embryos, eggs and sperm from Novi Sad to Tehran fertility clinics — a route we run directly, not via a third country. We coordinate with your Serbian clinic on export documentation and with the receiving Tehran clinic in Farsi, and travel with your specimens the whole way — cabin baggage, never cargo.
How the Serbia to Iran Route Works
Four stages, start to finish. Nothing improvised at the airport — every document on both sides is prepared before we travel.
Consultation & Documentation
We confirm your Serbian clinic's export requirements and the receiving Tehran clinic's import requirements in parallel, tracking the BMPO-7 certificate, Ministry export authorisation, and the Iranian import acceptance letter as one coordinated file.
Clinic Collection — Novi Sad
Our courier arrives at Special Gynecology Clinic "Ferona" with a pre-charged MVE SC 4/3 dry shipper. Specimen identity is verified using dual-witness protocol with the releasing embryologist before anything moves.
Cabin Transport, via Turkey
There's no scheduled direct service between Belgrade and Tehran, so the courier connects via Turkey, carrying the sealed dry shipper through security with a manual inspection request at every checkpoint. No hold, no exceptions.
Tehran Arrival & Clinic Handover
Customs release documentation clears the tank in Tehran. Direct, witnessed handover to the receiving embryologist — in Farsi where that's the working language — completes the chain of custody.
The MVE SC 4/3 Dry Shipper
Every Serbia-to-Iran collection travels in our own validated MVE SC 4/3 cryogenic dry shipper, maintaining −196°C without external power for well beyond the duration of the Novi Sad–Tehran journey.
The unit is DGR-exempt but still requires airline approval on a per-booking basis — we arrange this directly with each carrier's cargo or dangerous goods division ahead of every flight. It travels as cabin baggage at all times. It is never checked in and never sent as cargo.

Two Regulatory Systems, One Chain of Custody
Export of biological material from Serbia is authorised by the Ministry of Health's Directorate for Biomedicine. Clinics typically require a completed BMPO-7 freezing certificate, a signed clinic collection agreement, and supporting patient documentation before an export application can be submitted.
On the Iranian side, the receiving Tehran clinic provides an import acceptance letter and the documentation Iranian customs requires for a biological material declaration — prepared in Farsi where that is the working language required.
This is informational and educational content, not legal advice — requirements and processing times can change, and every case has its own circumstances. It is strongly recommended to verify current requirements with each clinic's regulatory or legal team before relying on any timeline.
No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not comment on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy beyond this factual point — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.
0% X-Ray Exposure — We Do Not Permit It
Embryos, eggs and sperm never pass through an X-ray scanner on any journey we handle. We prepare full airport security documentation requesting manual inspection at every checkpoint on this route — in Serbia, at any transit point, and in Tehran. This is a hard operational rule: manual inspection is secured before travel, or the shipment does not proceed that day.
Serbia to Iran Route — FAQ
Is this a direct route, or does it go via the UK?
Direct. Serbia to Iran is one of our established corridors in its own right — the courier collects from your Serbian clinic and travels through to Tehran, without routing through the UK.
How long does the Serbian export permit take?
Export of biological material from Serbia is authorised by the Ministry of Health's Directorate for Biomedicine. Processing timelines vary case by case and depend on how complete the submitted documentation is. We recommend confirming current timelines directly with your clinic's regulatory team when you begin the process, and we coordinate closely on the courier side throughout.
Which clinics are involved on each side?
On the Serbian side, we coordinate directly with Special Gynecology Clinic "Ferona" in Novi Sad. On the Iranian side, we work with established Tehran fertility clinics including Nikan Hospital, TebMed and Royan Hospital. If either your sending or receiving clinic isn't on this list, tell us and we will confirm what's needed to work with them directly.
Are there direct flights from Serbia to Tehran?
There is no scheduled direct commercial service between Belgrade and Tehran, so the route typically connects via Turkey. The cryogenic container stays in the aircraft cabin with the courier for the entire journey — well within the hold time of the dry shipper we use.
Will the tank go through an X-ray scanner at any point?
No. We prepare documentation and request manual inspection at every security point on the route, in Serbia, at any transit point, and in Tehran. If manual inspection cannot be secured, the shipment does not proceed through that point — this is a hard operational rule, not a best-effort promise.
Are sanctions a barrier to transporting embryos to Iran?
No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not offer commentary on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.
What documents does my Serbian clinic need to provide?
Clinics we work with in Serbia typically prepare a BMPO-7 freezing certificate confirming the specimens in storage, a signed clinic collection agreement, and any discharge or treatment summary the Ministry requests as part of the export application. Exact requirements are set by the clinic and the Ministry, not by us — always confirm the current list directly with your clinic's regulatory or lab team.
Do you provide documentation and coordination in Farsi?
Yes, on the Tehran side. Our team includes Farsi speakers, and pre-journey correspondence with the receiving clinic, import documentation, and the airport-side handover in Tehran are conducted in Farsi where that is the working language required.
"Our embryos were in Novi Sad and our treatment was in Tehran. We worried the two countries not being directly connected would be a problem. It wasn't — every document was ready on both sides before our courier even left Serbia, and our Tehran clinic told us the handover went exactly as explained."
