Embryo Courier: Malaysia to Iran
Hand-carry transport of embryos, eggs and sperm direct from IVF clinics in Malaysia to fertility clinics in Iran, including Tehran. One courier, one dry shipper, cabin baggage from collection to delivery — never the hold, never a warehouse, and never routed via a third country unless the flight itself requires it.
How the Malaysia–Iran Route Works
Every step is coordinated in advance — nothing is figured out at the airport.
Consultation & Documentation
We confirm both the Malaysian and Iranian clinics' requirements, prepare the courier pack, and coordinate export and import paperwork before a transport date is fixed.
Clinic Collection in Malaysia
Our courier arrives with a pre-charged dry shipper. Identity is verified using dual-witness protocol with the releasing embryologist before anything moves.
Cabin Transport
The courier carries the sealed dry shipper through security with manual inspection, boards the flight, and keeps the vessel with them for the entire journey — including any connecting hub the routing requires.
Arrival & Handover in Iran
The dry shipper is handed directly to the receiving embryologist in Iran, in Farsi where that is the working language. A second dual-witness check completes the chain of custody, and you receive a delivery confirmation message.
The MVE SC 4/3 Dry Shipper
Every Malaysia–Iran transfer travels in an MVE SC 4/3 vapour-phase liquid nitrogen dry shipper, holding samples at −196°C without a single interruption from clinic to clinic. It is DGR-exempt, but every booking still requires written airline approval before the tank is carried on.
The tank is carried as cabin baggage at all times. It is never checked in, and never sent as cargo. Our couriers hold UN3373 qualification and travel with the tank for the entire journey, from the originating clinic in Malaysia to the receiving clinic in Iran.

Malaysia and Iran, Coordinated Directly
Malaysia has an established, active IVF sector, with clinics across Kuala Lumpur and other major cities regularly releasing reproductive material for international patients. On the Iran side, we coordinate with established Tehran fertility clinics including Nikan Hospital, TebMed and Royan Hospital — in Farsi where that is the working language required.
We confirm collection windows, documentation and delivery arrangements with both clinics before the courier ever leaves Malaysia. If your Iranian receiving clinic isn't on the list above, tell us and we'll confirm what's needed to work with them directly.
Releasing — Malaysia
Clinics across Kuala Lumpur and other major Malaysian cities. We coordinate collection and export documentation directly with your clinic's embryology team.
Receiving — Iran
Established Tehran fertility clinics including Nikan Hospital, TebMed and Royan Hospital. Import documentation and handover conducted in Farsi.
We collect from your originating clinic in Malaysia and deliver directly into the hands of the receiving embryologist in Iran — no intermediate warehouse, no hand-off to a third party along the way.
Two Regulatory Systems, One Chain of Custody
Every Malaysia–Iran transfer needs documentation that satisfies both the Malaysian clinic's export requirements and Iranian Ministry of Health protocols on the receiving side. According to general regulatory frameworks, this typically includes an export or transfer agreement and specimen manifest from the Malaysian clinic, an import acceptance letter from the receiving Tehran clinic, and a biological material declaration for Iranian customs — each prepared in the format the relevant authority requires, in English and Farsi where needed.
This is general, informational guidance, not legal advice. Requirements can vary by clinic and can change over time — it is strongly recommended to verify current requirements with your specific clinic's regulatory or legal team before finalising a transport date.
No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not comment on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy beyond this factual point — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.

Malaysia to Iran — Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a direct Malaysia-to-Iran service, or does it route through the UK?
This is a direct route. Your courier collects from the originating clinic in Malaysia and travels straight through to the receiving clinic in Iran — the UK is not part of this journey.
Will our embryos be X-rayed at airport security?
No. We do not permit reproductive material to pass through an X-ray scanner at any point on this route. Our couriers carry a full documentation pack requesting manual inspection at every security checkpoint. If manual inspection cannot be secured, the shipment does not proceed that day — this is a fixed operational rule, not a preference.
How long does documentation take for a Malaysia to Iran transfer?
It varies by clinic on both ends, and by how quickly the receiving Iranian clinic can confirm acceptance. As a general pattern, allow several weeks for export authorisation from the Malaysian clinic and import acceptance and customs documentation from the Iranian side to be confirmed before a transport date is fixed.
Do sanctions affect transporting embryos to Iran?
No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not offer commentary on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.
Which clinics in Iran do you coordinate with?
We coordinate with established Tehran fertility clinics including Nikan Hospital, TebMed and Royan Hospital. If your receiving clinic is not on this list, tell us and we will confirm what is needed to work with them directly.
Can you coordinate directly with our Malaysian clinic?
Yes. We liaise directly with the releasing clinic in Malaysia to confirm collection arrangements, required paperwork and timing, and separately with the receiving clinic in Iran in Farsi where that is the working language — you are not left relaying messages between two clinics and a courier.
Is Embryo Links the only courier operating this specific corridor?
We are the only specialist courier operating a dedicated Malaysia–Iran embryo, egg and sperm transport service, with Farsi-language coordination built into how the route is run. This is a corridor we have built specific documentation and clinic relationships around, not a general international lane we occasionally cover.
What if our Malaysian clinic hasn't worked with an Iran-bound transfer before?
That's common. We talk your clinic's administrative team through exactly what's needed on the Malaysian side, and handle the Iranian side of the paperwork and clinic coordination directly ourselves.
0% X-Ray Exposure — We Do Not Permit It
Reproductive material never passes through an X-ray scanner on any Embryo Links transfer. This is not a hopeful promise — it is a fixed operational rule. Every departure travels with a No X-Ray letter addressed to airport security, and our courier requests manual inspection of the dry shipper at every checkpoint, every time.
If manual inspection cannot be secured at a given airport on a given day, the shipment does not proceed on that flight. There is no version of this service where that rule is relaxed.
"Our clinic in Kuala Lumpur had never sent material to Tehran before, and neither had we. Having a single courier who spoke to both clinics directly, in the right language on each end, meant we never had to be the ones relaying messages back and forth."
