Embryo Courier from the Czech Republic to Iran
Hand-carry transport of embryos, eggs and sperm from Prague to Tehran fertility clinics — the only specialist courier running a dedicated Czech Republic–Iran route, with Farsi coordination built into how the Iran side works.
How the Czech Republic–Iran Route Works
Four stages, start to finish. Nothing improvised at the airport — every document is prepared before we travel.
Consultation & Documentation
We confirm your Prague clinic's requirements alongside Iranian export/import documentation, preparing the full pack in English and Farsi where required before any date is set.
Compliant In-Country Collection
Czech regulations require specific in-country licensing for domestic biological-material transport, so we coordinate the collection from Prague Fertility Centre through appropriately licensed regional logistics, with full dual-witness verification at handover.
International Cabin Transport
Our own courier carries the sealed dry shipper through security, requesting manual inspection rather than X-ray at every checkpoint, and keeps the vessel with them for the entire journey via a connecting hub — no hold, no exceptions.
Tehran Arrival & Clinic Handover
Customs release documentation clears the tank on arrival. Direct, witnessed handover to the receiving Tehran embryologist completes the chain of custody, and you receive a delivery confirmation message.
The MVE SC 4/3 Dry Shipper
Every Czech Republic–Iran transfer travels in our own validated MVE SC 4/3 cryogenic dry shipper, maintaining −196°C without external power for well beyond the duration of a Prague–Tehran journey via a connecting hub.
The unit is DGR-exempt but still requires airline approval on a per-booking basis — we arrange this directly with each carrier's cargo or dangerous goods division ahead of every flight. It travels as cabin baggage at all times. It is never checked in and never sent as cargo.

Tell us which clinics are involved and what stage the documentation is at. We'll explain exactly what this route involves for your case.
Our Prague and Tehran Clinic Partners
We coordinate directly with the releasing clinic in Prague and receiving clinics in Tehran — in Farsi where that is the working language required — so documentation and handover are confirmed before your courier travels.
Prague Fertility Centre
Prague, Czech Republic — releasing clinic
We coordinate closely with Prague Fertility Centre's lab team on collection scheduling, freezing certification, and the documentation required for your transfer. Czech regulations require specific in-country licensing for biological-material transport, so for the domestic collection leg we work with appropriately licensed regional logistics partners to ensure full compliance.
Nikan Hospital
An established Tehran fertility and ambulatory surgery centre we regularly coordinate embryo and specimen handovers with.
TebMed
A Tehran fertility clinic we work with on export and import documentation for cross-border IVF transfers.
Royan Hospital
A specialist Tehran reproductive medicine centre, recognised internationally for its embryology standards.
If either clinic in your case is not listed here, tell us — we will confirm directly with them what documentation and coordination is needed.
Two Regulatory Systems, One Chain of Custody
Transport of biological material from the Czech Republic falls under specific national regulatory requirements, including licensing administered by SÚKL (the State Institute for Drug Control) for in-country transport. On the receiving side, every transfer needs documentation that satisfies Iranian Ministry of Health protocols — typically an import acceptance letter from the receiving Tehran clinic and a biological material declaration for Iranian customs, prepared in English and Farsi where needed.
This is informational and educational content, not legal advice — requirements and processing times can change, and every case has its own circumstances. It is strongly recommended to verify current requirements with both clinics' regulatory or legal teams before relying on any timeline.
On our side, because Czech regulations require specific in-country licensing for biological-material transport, we coordinate with appropriately licensed regional logistics partners for the domestic collection leg, while preparing the full international courier documentation pack — release letters, customs declarations, and chain-of-custody records — and managing the onward journey to Tehran ourselves throughout.
No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not comment on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy beyond this factual point — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.
0% X-Ray Exposure — We Do Not Permit It
Embryos, eggs and sperm never pass through an X-ray scanner on any journey we handle. We prepare full airport security documentation requesting manual inspection at every checkpoint on this route, in the Czech Republic and in Tehran. This is a hard operational rule: manual inspection is secured before travel, or the shipment does not proceed that day.
Czech Republic to Iran Route — FAQ
How does collection from a Czech clinic work under local regulations?
Czech regulations require specific in-country licensing for the transport of biological material, administered by SÚKL (the State Institute for Drug Control). Because of this, we coordinate the domestic collection leg with appropriately licensed regional logistics partners, while managing the international leg to Iran, full documentation pack and chain of custody ourselves throughout.
Will the specimens be X-rayed at any airport on this route?
No. We do not permit embryos, eggs or sperm to pass through an X-ray scanner at any point on this route. Our couriers carry a full documentation pack requesting manual inspection at every security checkpoint. If manual inspection cannot be secured, the shipment does not proceed that day.
Are there direct flights from Prague to Tehran?
No — there are no direct commercial flights between the Czech Republic and Iran. Our couriers travel via a connecting hub such as Istanbul, with the cryogenic container remaining in the aircraft cabin with the courier for the entire journey.
Are sanctions a barrier to transporting embryos to Iran?
No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not offer commentary on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.
Which clinics do you coordinate with in Prague and in Iran?
We coordinate directly with Prague Fertility Centre in the Czech Republic, and with established Tehran fertility clinics including Nikan Hospital, TebMed and Royan Hospital on the receiving side. If either clinic in your case is not on this list, tell us and we will confirm what is needed to work with them directly.
Is Embryo Links the only courier operating this route?
We are the only specialist courier operating a dedicated Czech Republic–Iran embryo, egg and sperm transport service, with Farsi-language coordination built into how the Iran side of the route is run.
Do you provide documentation and coordination in Farsi?
Yes. Our team includes Farsi speakers, and pre-journey correspondence with the receiving Tehran clinic, import documentation, and the airport-side handover are all conducted in Farsi where that is the working language required.
What happens after the transfer is complete?
We provide delivery confirmation documentation from the receiving Iranian clinic once the transfer is complete. Any formal reporting your Czech clinic's regulatory process requires is managed by that clinic's own team, using the documentation we supply.
"Our embryos were in Prague and our clinic was in Tehran — two very different regulatory systems to satisfy at once. Embryo Links handled the coordination on both sides and kept us updated at every stage, in Farsi with our Tehran clinic and in English with us."
