The Journey

How Your Oman to Iran Transfer Works

Four stages, start to finish. We coordinate every document and every handover on both sides of this direct route.

01

Consultation & Documentation

We confirm your releasing clinic in Oman and receiving clinic in Iran, prepare clinic agreements, and coordinate the documentation both sides need before a collection date is set.

02

Clinic Collection in Oman

Our courier arrives with a pre-charged MVE SC 4/3 dry shipper. Material identity is verified with the releasing embryologist under dual-witness protocol before anything moves.

03

Cabin Transport to Iran

The sealed dry shipper travels through security with manual inspection and stays with our courier in the cabin for the entire journey — no hold, no exceptions.

Delivery & Handover

The dry shipper is handed directly to your receiving clinic in Iran. A second dual-witness verification closes the chain of custody, and you receive a delivery confirmation message.

Our Equipment

The MVE SC 4/3 Dry Shipper

Every transfer on this route travels in an MVE SC 4/3 vapour-phase liquid nitrogen dry shipper — the same equipment we use on every route we operate. It is DGR-exempt, but still requires written airline approval for every individual booking, which our courier obtains directly from each airline's cargo or dangerous goods division before travel.

The tank is carried as cabin baggage at all times. It is never checked in and never sent as cargo — on this route or any other we operate.

Clinic-to-Clinic Logistics

Established Relationships on Both Sides

In Oman

We work through a direct, established relationship with our partner clinic in Oman, built over repeated transfers rather than arranged fresh for each case. That means the releasing clinic already knows our documentation format, our courier's arrival process, and our chain-of-custody standard.

As a matter of client confidentiality, we don't publish the name of our partner clinic on this website. Once your case is underway, your dedicated coordinator confirms the releasing clinic directly with you, alongside the full clinic agreement and No X-Ray letter for that specific institution.

In Iran

We coordinate directly with receiving clinics in Tehran, in Farsi where that is the working language, so documentation and handover arrangements are confirmed before your courier travels.

Nikan Hospital

An established Tehran fertility and ambulatory surgery centre we regularly coordinate embryo and specimen handovers with.

TebMed

A Tehran fertility clinic we work with on export and import documentation for cross-border IVF transfers.

Royan Hospital

A specialist Tehran reproductive medicine centre, recognised internationally for its embryology standards.

If your receiving clinic is not listed here, tell us — we will confirm directly with them what documentation and coordination is needed for your transfer.

Direct Coordination, Not a General Referral

Many couriers arrange clinic access on a case-by-case basis. Ours is a standing relationship on both ends of this route — which is why we can move with confidence on this specific corridor where other general couriers cannot.

Regulatory Compliance & Customs Clearance

Two Regulatory Systems, One Chain of Custody

Every Oman–Iran transfer needs documentation that satisfies both the releasing clinic's own regulatory process and Iranian Ministry of Health protocols on the receiving side. Clinics typically require a clinic agreement, a No X-Ray letter addressed to airport security at each departure and arrival point, and customs release documentation for the receiving airport — prepared in English and Farsi where needed.

We coordinate this documentation between both clinics ahead of the transport date, so nothing is improvised at the airport. This information is general and informational only — it is strongly recommended to verify current requirements with your specific clinic's own legal and regulatory department before finalising a transfer date.

On Sanctions

No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not comment on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy beyond this factual point — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.

Start the Conversation Early

Clinic agreements, export/import paperwork and airline approval together typically take several weeks to arrange. Please don't wait until a treatment date is fixed before contacting us.

Tell Us About Your Transfer

Where the material is, where it needs to go, and what stage the clinic documentation is at — we'll tell you exactly what this route involves for your situation.

Airport Security

0% X-Ray Exposure — We Do Not Permit It

Biological material never passes through an X-ray scanner on any journey we handle. We prepare full airport security documentation requesting manual inspection at every checkpoint on this route, in Oman and in Iran. This is a hard operational rule, not a hopeful promise about a third party's discretion.

If manual inspection cannot be secured at a given checkpoint, the shipment does not proceed through that checkpoint. We plan routes and timing around this rule, not around the exception to it.

Manual Inspection, Every Time

Requested and confirmed in advance at every checkpoint on the route.

Written Documentation

A dedicated No X-Ray letter accompanies the courier at every checkpoint.

"Our embryos were in Muscat and our clinic in Tehran needed them for our next cycle. We had no idea a courier could handle both ends of that journey. Embryo Links managed the clinic agreements on both sides and kept us updated by WhatsApp the whole way — collection, departure, and the moment our clinic confirmed receipt."

Common Questions

Oman to Iran — Frequently Asked Questions

Will our material be X-rayed at any airport on the Oman–Iran route?

No. We do not permit biological material to pass through an X-ray scanner at any point on this journey. Our courier carries a full documentation pack requesting manual inspection at every security point, in Oman and at the receiving airport in Iran. If manual inspection cannot be secured, the shipment does not proceed that day.

Do you have an established clinic relationship in Oman?

Yes. We work through a direct, established relationship with our partner clinic in Oman, built over repeated transfers rather than arranged fresh for each case. As a matter of client confidentiality we don't publish partner clinic names on our website — your case coordinator will confirm the releasing clinic directly with you.

Which clinics in Iran do you coordinate with?

We coordinate with established Tehran fertility clinics including Nikan Hospital, TebMed and Royan Hospital. If your receiving clinic is not on this list, tell us and we will confirm what is needed to work with them directly.

How long does documentation take on this route?

It varies by clinic and by how quickly each side can confirm paperwork. As a general pattern, clinic agreements, export/import documentation and airline approval together typically take several weeks to arrange. We recommend starting the conversation as early as possible once a transfer is being considered.

Are sanctions a barrier to transporting biological material to Iran?

No sanctions apply to medical biological transport of this kind. We do not offer commentary on Iranian law, politics or healthcare policy — our role is limited to the logistics of moving biological material safely and with the correct documentation.

Is our material ever placed in the aircraft cargo hold?

Never. The dry shipper travels as cabin baggage with our courier at all times, on every leg of the journey. This is non-negotiable and is confirmed in the airline approval we obtain in advance of every booking.

Are you the only courier operating this Oman–Iran route?

On this specific corridor, yes — our direct relationship with our Omani partner clinic, combined with established Tehran clinic relationships, gives us a route other general couriers don't have access to. If that ever changes, we'll update this page.
